Mozilla Firefox 56 and higher

Due to changes in the Mozilla Firefox web browser, the AppReader tools in ZoomText Magnifier/Reader and Fusion are not working well in the current Mozilla Firefox web browser. A fix for this problem is expected in a forthcoming Firefox update. In the meantime, you can obtain support for the AppReader tools in Firefox by installing the Mozilla Firefox “Extended Support Release” (ESR) version 52 as described below. The Firefox ESR is a more stable version of Firefox that is provided for organizations and users that require builds that are more thoroughly tested and therefore have reduced compatibility issues.

Sometimes there are multiple versions of the ESR available.

Currently, we recommend using the  Mozilla Firefox 52 ESR as follows:

  1. First, uninstalling all versions of Mozilla Firefox presently on your computer is recommended.
  2. Open the following link:

  3. The "Firefox 52" tab is located above and near the top right of the download table. You can either click on it, or navigate to it by pressing the TAB key, then pressing ENTER. This changes the contents of the download table to link to Firefox 52 downloads in each language.
  4. Select the appropriate download and then install it.

NOTE:  In the Firefox menu, select "Options" to view your Firefox version and change your update options.  The Firefox menu is accessed by the Firefox button at the top right hand side of the application window.
