ZT.exe - Bad Image error when Starting ZoomText 10.1 with Kaspersky Anti Virus

The information in this article applies to:

ZoomText 10.x

Windows 10, 8.1 and Windows 7

Kaspersky Anti Virus.

 

PROBLEM:

When starting ZoomText the ZoomText Splash screen will stay on the screen and eventually you'll get an error ZT.exe - Bad Image

 

SOLUTION:

Open Kaspersky

Click the cog icon for settings in bottom left corner

Click Additional link on left side

Click on Threat and Exclusions link to the right side

Click on Manage Applications link near middle of box.

Click The Add button in bottom right corner.

Click The Browse button and select C:\Program Files (x86)\ZoomText 10.x folder.

Click OK or Save.
