What do I do if ZoomText 2019 or Fusion 2019 is unable to generate a locking code for activation on a Windows 32-bit system?

This article applies to:

 ZoomText 2019.1810.69

Fusion 2019.1810.18

Windows 7, 8, 8.1, or 10 32-bit OS only

Problem

The initial release of ZoomText 2019.1810.69 and Fusion 2019.1810.18, which are the versions currently on each of the product DVDs, will not activate on Windows 32-bit systems. A message titled “fsClientActivator” indicates the following error message:

“Unable to generate locking code.  Please contact Freedom Scientific Customer Service at (727) 803-8015.”

Solution

This problem has been corrected in ZoomText 2019.1810.81 and Fusion 2019.1810.19, released on November 15, 2018. You can download the latest version from the ZoomText downloads page and it can be installed alone or over your existing version.

After installing the new version, you can authorize ZoomText or Fusion.
